The SAQ project is an initiative aimed at teaching schoolchildren and teachers about safety fundamentals, risk prevention and preparredness for natural and man-made emergencies. We unite the efforts of the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and Chevron Corp. in Kazakhstan to create a safe environment for our children.
To form and develop a culture of safe behavior through training teachers and students in measures to prevent dangerous consequences of emergencies and practicing algorithms of actions in extreme conditions.

Training of certified SAQ officers among current school teachers.

The SAQ Officer is a specially trained teacher whose primary goal is to foster a culture of safety among students and colleagues both in school and beyond. The SAQ officer focuses on preventing the severe consequences of natural and man-made emergencies and teaching the proper actions to take in the event of such situations.

  • Explanatory information about the mechanisms in place at the legislative level in the field of protection in emergency situations, review of regulations: responsibilities of educational institutions in the field of safety; interaction with local Emergency Situations Ministry and other services.
  • Lesson plans, scripts and presentations for teaching safety culture to teachers and middle and high school students.
  • Templates and recommendations for developing a School Safety Plan.
