Caravan of Knowledge
An organization founded in 2020, working to promote STEAM education in Kazakhstan. We implement projects that help teachers and students master modern approaches to science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics.

Our Mission
To make education high-quality, accessible, and inspiring for everyone. We support teachers through courses, workshops, training sessions, grant competitions, and educational materials. Additionally, we organize programs for schoolchildren and students that foster their creative and critical thinking skills.

Our STEAM Journey
Over the past five years, the Corporate Fund Caravan of Knowledge has worked hand in hand with leading partners to advance STEAM education in Kazakhstan. With the support of Chevron, Shell, Tengizchevroil (TCO), SEAMEO, the Embassy of Canada, UNICEF, and UNESCO, we have introduced innovative teaching practices, created new learning resources, and expanded access to modern STEAM programs across the country. Their contributions have been instrumental in the implementation of the National Roadmap for STEM Education (2021–2025), enabling thousands of teachers and students to gain knowledge, skills, and opportunities for the future.

  • The opening of the laboratory was the first event of the School Upgrade program, which is being implemented by the educational organization Caravan of Knowledge with the support of Chevron company.

  • Zhylyoy STEAM Mekeni is a project aimed at developing STEAM education in the Atyrau region and in the village of Borankul, which the Caravan of Knowledge is implementing with the support of Tengizchevroil company.

    This grant program is designed for public schools in Kazakhstan to support the development of STEAM initiatives. It provides resources for creating infrastructure and educational programs, with the primary goal of establishing mini STEAM centers in each region. These centers will serve as knowledge hubs for other schools, supported by teacher training sessions aimed at enhancing their qualifications. The program runs from October 4, 2024, through March 2025.

    Shell NXplorers is an educational program that equips participants with critical and creative thinking tools to solve complex challenges. Focused on the "food-water-energy" nexus, it helps students understand the UN Sustainable Development Goals and build problem-solving skills. Conducted online over 1.5 hours, participants receive a certificate upon completion along with materials and recommendations from expert trainers.     Since 2021, Caravan of Knowledge has trained teachers through the Jana Talap program, enhancing educators in Kazakhstan with STEAM skills and methodologies. The program also provides certification for STEAM trainers. Aligned with Kazakhstan's "STEAM Development Roadmap," Jana Talap supports the national education strategy and is open to teachers in primary education and subjects like physics, chemistry, biology, math, geography, computer science, and robotics, with a focus on rural areas.

    This grant program offers high school and early college students the chance to develop and implement STEAM projects addressing regional issues in Kazakhstan. Running from December to September, it promotes innovative solutions in ecology, technology, and social issues, while developing project-thinking skills. The program also aims to popularize STEAM as a key driver of Kazakhstan's future, providing educational and financial support to help young participants bring their ideas to life.
