The project fosters collaboration with educational institutions, government, and businesses to ensure education meets future workforce needs.
For students and teachers
This scientific and methodological online journal serves as a platform for teachers, researchers, and enthusiasts shaping the future of education. It aims to advance STEAM education across Kazakhstan and Central Asia by uniting ideas, methodologies, and research to make STEAM accessible and understandable for everyone. Shell NXplorers is an educational program that equips participants with critical and creative thinking tools to solve complex challenges. Focused on the "food-water-energy" nexus, it helps students understand the UN Sustainable Development Goals and build problem-solving skills. Launched in Kazakhstan in 2018, the program trains public school teachers, who then pass on these methodologies to their students. Young participants apply their knowledge to find local solutions to environmental problems and showcase their ideas in a national school environmental project competition.
For teachers
This program is designed for practicing teachers, pedagogical university students, and school methodologists to enhance their skills in STEAM education. Conducted online over 1.5 hours, participants receive a certificate upon completion along with materials and recommendations from expert trainers. Monthly updated topics address the latest trends and needs in STEAM, ensuring participants continually refine their teaching methods and expand their knowledge base.
For teachers of public schools
Since 2021, Caravan of Knowledge has trained teachers through the Jana Talap program, enhancing educators in Kazakhstan with STEAM skills and methodologies. The program also provides certification for STEAM trainers. Aligned with Kazakhstan's "STEAM Development Roadmap," Jana Talap supports the national education strategy and is open to teachers in primary education and subjects like physics, chemistry, biology, math, geography, computer science, and robotics, with a focus on rural areas.
